A Chrome OS version of the original game was made as well, titled Spelunky HTML5. A sequel, Spelunky 2, was released for PlayStation 4 on September 15, 2020. Spelunky received critical acclaim for its gameplay, atmosphere and design; though some motion controls and multiplayer were polarized by critics.
Using a new version of the Game Maker software in which Derek Yu coded the original game, developer Darius Kazemi ported Spelunky into HTML5, allowing us to link to a playable version right here. Finally taken the record back from ortoslon, though by nowhere near as big a margin as last time. Thanks to: ortoslon: for being my competition. Spelunky is a unique platformer with randomized levels that offer a challenging new experience each time you play. Journey deep underground and explore fantastic places filled with all manner of monsters, traps, and treasure. You'll have complete freedom while you navigate the fully-destructible environments and master their many secrets.
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
“Legends speak of a Colossal Cave that extends deep underground, so twisted by time that its passages shift like the sand under which it lies… the Cave is said to be filled with fabulous treasures, but also incredible danger!”
Spelunky is a cave exploration / treasure-hunting game inspired by classic platform games and roguelikes, where the goal is to grab as much treasure from the cave as possible. Every time you play the cave’s layout will be different. Use your wits, your reflexes, and the items available to you to survive and go ever deeper! Perhaps at the end you may find what you’re looking for…
Don’t be afraid to die! But also don’t be afraid to live! Happy Spelunky-ing!

Install instructions
YYC mean YoYo Compiler, versions build with it should have better performance. HTML5 versions have more bugs and worse performance but also have some nice features not available on standard builds (and for macOS, there is no alternative).
